People and businesses I have worked with in the wedding industry
Over the years I have been fortunate to work with some great individuals and businesses, so I thought I should share their contacts with you in case you are still looking to make some decisions about your wedding day.
family floral designs
Fawnda and Dennie have a lot to offer with their wonderful flower designs and event decor. I have witnessed how they completely transform the look of a venue with their great ideas and unique accessories. A good decorator can really make a huge difference on your wedding day. This lovely couple is very easy to get along with and they cover weddings across Nova Scotia, while their home base is in Cheticamp.
Beautiful dayz ahead
There have been several weddings that I have photographed, where Lisa Bobbet was the justice of the peace and also the decorator. She is a real people's person and a hard worker. Lisa is based in Sydney and also offers special events setups such as wedding showers and anniversaries.
gracenote weddings & Events
As a certified wedding coordinator, Laura MacKinnon will be sure to make your wedding day goes as smooth as possible. It truly takes a lot to plan your wedding day and to have someone else deal with a lot of the stress for you, is invaluable.
Atlantic pro dj
It's pretty much impossible for me to count the number of weddings I have seen this guy run the party. Halifax DJ Jeff Knee is well known in Nova Scotia and will travel anywhere. He has several DJs working for him and he will make sure you and your friends and family have an amazing time at the dance.
If you're looking for a unique band at your wedding, I can highly recommend this awesome group of musicians. There's endless talent in this five piece, 80s party dance band. They will even play as the bride walks down the aisle and keep your guests on the dancefloor until the last minute.
matthew martin, classical guitar
Personally I love the sound of a classical guitar as the bride walks down the aisle. It is very simple and elegant. It adds a very romantic touch to the ceremony that can't be beat. Matthew Martin is an excellent performer and highly qualified teacher based in Wolfville.
uncork nova scotia
Going on a wine tour is becoming a very popular event for many brides and their bridesmaids or the bride and groom to be. Uncork offers roundtrip transportation from Halifax, Wolfville or Windsor and will take you on a wonderful trip through the gorgeous Annapolis Valley, sampling delicious wines and food.
Island sunset resort
This 4.5 stars resort is a perfect venue for your Cape Breton wedding. Nestled on a beautiful coastline in Belle Cote near the famous Margaree River, it is a true gem for anyone looking for a serene experience. With a beautiful dining room, luxurious cottages and endless photographic opportunities near by, this resort has it all. The food here is excellent and the sunsets will take your breath away.
The well known Keltic Lodge in Ingonish has so much to offer as a wedding venue. I have photographed several weddings here and the location combined with all the great amenities of the Lodge makes it one of my favourite places for weddings. Most couples choose to have their ceremony outside with the beautiful ocean vista in the back as they say their 'I dos'. The golf course, spa and beautiful dining hall all make for a great package for a destination wedding.
This is one of the biggest hosts for weddings and events on Cape Breton and there is a reason for that. It is beautifully located along the Bras d'Or lake in Baddeck and has a very charming atmosphere. Outside ceremonies by the water, delicious food, great service and lots of great spots for photographs.
A truly unique place to host your wedding. The Highland Village in Iona is a huge hit with tourists interested in gaelic culture. But it is actually a wonderful setting for a wedding. With wonderful places for photographs that will create lasting memories, this place is really special.
For weddings in the Sydney area, this is one of the top choices these days. The Membertou trade and convention center has the flexibility to host small intimate to very large scale weddings. It's an excellent facility with amazing food and very nice hotel rooms nearby. I have done several weddings here and it is always great coming back.
A really wonderful venue with everything you need. It's just one of those places where you can have all your friends and family stay right there for a few days and have an unforgettable weekend together. They have a beautiful dining area, chalets, cottages and lodge rooms to choose from and best of all, a lot of nature all around.
This has become one of my favourite places to photograph weddings over the years. The Pictou Lodge has an incredible ocean side setting that is hard to beat with one of the nicest log cabin feel dining rooms I know. Most couples choose to have their ceremony outside to feel that ocean breeze. A true gem for a Nova Scotia wedding.
An incredibly stylish set up by the water only 20 minutes from Halifax. At Shining Waters they offer full service wedding packages with planning and setup staff for your wedding day. It has won several gold awards for Best of Halifax weddings and is truly a unique place for a wedding.
oceanstone seaside resort
This 4 star resort is only minutes from famous Peggys Cove and has a lot to offer as a host for your wedding. A great selection of charming cottages, suites and guest rooms and a gorgeous coastal setting make for an unforgettable place to host your wedding.
